Chinguacousy Park Before it underwent massive renovations, Chinguacousy Park already had everything! Animals? Check. Pond? Yep. Splash pool? Got it. Mini golf? Skateboarding pipe? Ski hill? Yes, yes and yes. Add a greenhouse, tennis courts, a playground, paddle boat rental and a couple of ambitious events and you've got a really dynamic municipal park indeed! it had everything... but it looked a bit outdated. And now, they've completely revamped the whole place.

Peel Transitions In 2011, the East Mississauga Community Health Centre (EMCHC) led a collaborative group of queer and trans positive service providers in trying to understand how to change the landscape of Peel so that trans, gender variant and gender non conforming community members were no longer isolated, and were valued and supported. The Collaborative members led by EMCHC are: Associated Youth Services of Peel, Bramalea Community Health Centre, and the Peel HIV/AIDS Network. Already engaged in work to better serve marginalized populations (including queer/trans folks), it was an easy next step to come together for a large-scale community development project and to offer frontline service delivery.
